Water is the basis for biological life on planet earth. We can live without fossil fuels, but not without water. Scientists say that water played the crucial role in the development of life, which probably started in the seas. Some say water and organic molecules came with comets to planet earth. As in earths history the development of life went from the seas onto the land surface of mother earth, plants started to influence the water cycles and the further development of the land-based biosphere. Forests play a decisive role in earths water cycles, the more forests the better.
