A sustainable development so that also future generations can satisfy their needs seems necessary. We must sustain our living basis, because there is no second earth where we could fly to.

Sea level rise has and will have devastating consequences.

Stefan Jung • Okt. 10, 2022

The effects of sea level rise are already here and will get worse with more icecaps and glaciers on land melting.

As we know the burning of fossil fuels led and leads to men-made global warming and climate change. One of the many negative consequences is the melting of glaciers and ice caps on land. This is leading to sea level rise. Some say, if all glaciers and icecaps would melt sea level would rise at least around 60 to 70 m or maybe 100m (source: unknown). Already a sea level rise of e.g. 20 to 30 cm would have worse consequences in many coastal areas around the globe, if we think e.g. about the many forms of land use.
